Resuscitation
The main tasks of the Center of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Therapy are as follows:
-
to solve the medical, scientific, educational, and coordinating tasks in the field of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Science
-
to provide people of the Far Eastern Federal District with the high-tech kinds of anesthetic and resuscitative care
-
to develop the applied clinical research in Anesthesiology, Resuscitation Science, and related fields of medicine
-
to provide organizational and methodical support for the introduction of the achievements of Anesthesiology and Resuscitation Science in practical activities of health care institutions
The Center of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Therapy has 18 beds, it is staffed with highly qualified specialists and is equipped with modern facilities needed for control, intensive monitoring and timely correction of the condition of the nervous system, respiratory system, circulatory system, blood, fluid and electrolyte balance, metabolism, many samples of which have no analogues in the Far Eastern Federal District. Subject to the need for anesthesia support of surgical interventions and intensive therapy, we may use special methods for monitoring the functions of the central nervous system and brain protection; nutritional therapy; extracorporeal hemocorrection (hemofiltration, hemodiafiltration, acute and chronic hemodialysis, plasmapheresis, and ultrafiltration); other methods of treatment.
The Center has equipment for artificial and subsidiary methods of blood circulation for all types of cardiovascular surgeries.
These capabilities enable us to provide specialized care to the highest modern standards, to carry out the full range of activities for the preparation and conduct of anesthesia for planned and emergency surgical interventions, diagnostic and therapeutic procedures as well as to treat patients in critical condition, caused by polytrauma, traumatic brain injury, violation of cerebral circulation, severe encephalopathy, purulent-septic diseases and complications, cardiogenic, haemorrhagic, septic shocks, and multiple organ failure.
Various modern methods of anesthesia are used in the Center:
-
Inhalation anesthesia with halogenated drugs
-
Intravenous anesthesia with target controlled drugs
-
Assessment of sedation depth
-
Neuroaxial blockades
-
Blockade of nerve plexus and nerves by using ultrasonic navigation and neurostimulants
-
Availability of advanced medical technologies, experience, availability of modern equipment, highly skilled and attentive staff—all this allows us to solve the medical problems of any complexity.
An important aspect of the work of the Center is to help patients with chronic pain syndrome.
Maximum patient comfort is the main principle of the work of the Center of Anesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Therapy. Patients are divided according to the degree of severity. For the isolation of patients in case of infectious complications, there are Airborne Infection Isolation (AII) Rooms in the hospital department. One of them is equipped with the facilities specially designed for children, including newborns. Finishing of the ICUs is done with clean room technology that allows free access of relatives to the patient. Installation of Draeger vertical-design consoles gives the opportunity to arrange the latest equipment close to each bed in the required quantities without hindering the work of the staff.
